NORMANDO vs. ELZA LIMA
For our first campaign, we invited an artist who brought significant influences to the pieces in this first collection. Elza Lima is a photographer from Pará who, since the 80s, has been documenting scenes from the Amazon, forming a unique and very characteristic universe, with a classic and impactful composition of divided planes.
With works integrated into collections such as MASP, MAM/SP, MAM/RJ, CCCB, FUNARTE, Instituto Cultural Itaú, Centro Português de Fotografia, and MIS/SP, Elza Lima signs the images for Normando's “Travessia” campaign. The photographs chosen for this project are part of a selection from the artist's collection from the 1980s and 1990s. All photographs were taken on black and white film with Amazonian scenes that magnetize the viewer and draw them in.
